LNK364 transformer construction

Posted by: Andrea1186 on

Hello.

I'm Andrea and I deal with hardware development.

I'm developing a new power supply and trying to achieve maximum heat efficiency.

I have followed all the hardware building guidelines, in this case I need help on the start and end of the secondary winding.

My prototype works perfectly when the start and end of the secondary winding is reversed from the attached image.

I can't understand how this is possible, in your experience where am I going wrong?

Thank you very much

Hi Andrea,

I would assume that the implementation which you think 'was reversed' is actually the correct one. You will not be able to get a decent output on the flyback if the secondary winding is reversed.

Please also take note of the DOT notation between the primary and secondary windings, which basically indicates that these windings are actually not in phase.

Regards,

Hello. Thanks for the support.

We have done a lot of production with the LNK364 device and I am satisfied!

Now I need a similar design to the old one but with higher efficiency, with lower heat dissipation.

the characteristics of the new project are:

In 220VAC, out 5V 0.3A.

Which project can you recommend?
